i no longer feel like habits rule my waking life. i still don't want to depend on others for a sense of myself, but i feel as though i've got a pretty good sense of me right now. i like who i am and what i stand for, even if i can't really box it neatly into a chunk of text or define it perfectly.

i work full time and attend college full time. it definitely has its terrible moments.

i write a lot. i also read a lot. i love metaphors and questioning things that seem too true to question. i do pilates. i play with paint on canvas (note: play. this does not mean i am any good at it). creation through art is important to me, whether it is created by paint or with words. i love museums. i am a total nerd. life has a pretty melancholy way about it, so i surround myself with funny people. i laugh entirely too much and at the wrong moments.

i'm on the green bandwagon for the right reasons, not the trendy ones. i've been described as a hippy, but i'm clean (well, my room is kind of a mess). and i don't do drugs. also there is a definite lack of long flowing skirts in my wardrobe. i don't have anything against long flowing skirts.

 i find it incredibly sad that the world is so packaged and manufactured these days. i like eating fruits and vegetables that don't come wrapped in plastic.

i'm the kind of person who gets people cards, fills them out and addresses them, but never ends up sending them. i guess that's a little insight to one of my major flaws.

i think it's good to push your boundaries. i think it's good to take chances and put yourself out there. i think it's healthy to be a little vulnerable, but important to know where to draw the line. to acknowledge it, but not let it prevent you from taking chances.

i have the word spontaneity tattooed on my left foot. it reminds me to occasionally color outside of the lines and to not be restricted by them.

i probably don't know you, but i respect you.

there are winding roads up ahead and i'm in the dark, and that's kind of how i like it.
